The following book was created as a Stretch Goal for Chip Theory Games’ Hoplomachus: Victorum Kickstarter, when the pledges surpassed $925k.

The book is a collection of story endings of epic battles between heroes (your character in the game) and Scions (the big bad bosses you fight towards the end of the game). First, you find the spread featuring the Scion you defeated in battle, then the section of the hero you used to defeat them, and the book provides you a brief ending, giving your final victory some additional flavor and flourish.

Below are a few of the spreads from the 20 page booklet. I did the full graphic design/layout for the booklet, under the creative direction of Melonie Lavely and some design inspiration from fellow graphic designer, Shaun Boyke. The character illustrations were done by Anthony LeTourneau and Federico Pompili.
